The airline took delivery of its first 737-700 on October 22, 2003, and completed deliveries in November 2004. In September 2004 the airline placed an order for an additional 10 737-700s. All of AeroMexico’s 737-700s are equipped with Blended Winglets™, which reduce fuel consumption by up to 3.5 percent, increase range up to 450 nautical miles, and reduce engine maintenance costs.
